Call our office at 563.589.4250 to schedule a large item collection. Collections are done on your regular solid waste collection day for a base fee of $10.00. If you would like a collection on an off-route day, there will be an additional charge of $10.
The minimum fee of $10 allows you to set out large items or miscellaneous trash equal in volume to approximately 10-12 35 gallon bags or cans. Additional volume is charged in $12.50 increments. Appliance disposal costs $10 each.

Other Fees and Conditions
Automobile tires cost $4 off-rim and $6 on-rim. Pickup truck and SUV tires cost $5 each and small work truck tires cost $6 each for City collection. Fees are charged to the customer's utility billing account. In situations where the landlord pays the utilities, tenants must pre-pay at the Utility Billing counter at City Hall at 50 W. 13th St.
All items must be set out to the curb or alley line by 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection, but not more than 24 hours prior to collection.
