The public is invited to attend a farewell reception for departing City of Dubuque Assistant City Manager Cindy Steinhauser on Wed., May 31, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the River Room at the Grand River Center, 500 Bell St.
Refreshments will be provided and a short program will be held at 5:45 p.m.
Steinhauser has accepted the city manager position for Frankfort, Kentucky. She will leave employment with the City of Dubuque in early June and begin the new position on June 8.
Steinhauser has been employed with the City of Dubuque since 1995 when she was named neighborhood development specialist. She then served as the parking division manager from 1999 to 2001, and has served as assistant city manager since 2001.
Steinhauser was involved with numerous major city projects including: the America’s River Project, the design and construction of the Grand River Center; the Downtown Master Plan, the Historic Millwork District Revitalization Strategy, Sustainable Dubuque, Smarter Sustainable Dubuque, the Arts Task Force, the Growing Sustainable Communities Conference, and Dubuque’s All-America City awards.
