  1. Highway 61/151 Update

    This program is a portion of an edition of "Inside Dubuque" which was taped on July 18, 1990. Public Works Director Frank Murray explains in detail how the city will change as construction on the Highway 61/151 project proceeds. Some construction footage shot that summer is included. The program ends with a 2014 drive through town on the highway, recorded almost 24 years to the day of the original presentation.

    This is the regular meeting of the Housing Commission. The Dubuque Housing Commission consists of 10 members appointed by the City Council to three-year terms. One member shall be appointed by the Housing Commission to serve as a representative to the Community Development Advisory Commission. Meetings are held: 4:00 p.m. on the Fourth Tuesday of each month at the Housing & Community Development Department Office. The purpose of this commission is to undertake and carry out studies and analysis of housing needs and the meeting of such needs; to recommend proposed projects in the area of low- and moderate-income housing for the citizens of the City; to monitor the City's housing programs; and to conduct grievances regarding the Rental Assistance Program, except in the area of Housing Code enforcement.

  2. Adaptive Sports Open Gym - Adaptive Skiing / Sledding

    The Leisure Services Department is sponsoring an Adaptive Sports Open Gym. Come and learn about all of the possibilities of adaptive sports in a fun non-competitive, yet challenging environment. Each month we will feature one sport where participants will be taught the fundamentals of the sport. Target population is children and adults who have a physical disability and who want to learn how to play adaptive sports. This is open to EVERYONE, whether you have a disability or not, and for all ages. Bring your family and friends! Limited number of sports chairs will be available. Featured sport is Adaptive Skiing / Sledding.
