Diverse Dubuque is a City-led initiative to help staff and community members develop the ability to understand and interact more effectively with people who are different from themselves. Traditionally, we think of diversity in terms of race or national origin. We now understand diversity as differences that make a difference in our ability to communicate and work with each other. Our goals are to be able to work effectively with each other and benefit from our differences.
