The Community Oriented Policing (COP) section is committed to long-term problem solving through community partnerships. This creative expansion of the Police role is committed to community empowerment. The COP section partners with city agencies and the following community members / agencies to solve long term problems.

Library Satellite Office

Additionally, the community policing concept has expanded through a community partner, the Carnegie-Stout Library. This partnership has resulted in the establishment of a satellite Community policing office in the library, helping to ensure a safe place for children to gather and experience reading and other media sources.
