The DCFMHP was started in 1995, and it provides comprehensive information on all aspects of managing rental housing, with special emphasis on how to reduce crime in rental property.
This year's seminar was again co-sponsored by the Northeast Iowa Community College, and was held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the NICC Town Clock Center at 680 Main Street, Dubuque. Click
here to view the brochure. Attendees were eligible for six hours of Real Estate CEUs. The presenters included local attorneys and representatives from the City of Dubuque's Police Department, Fire Department, Human Rights, and Legal Department. Topics include:
- Identifying quality tenants
- Writing rental agreements
- Handling evictions
- Property security and fire safety
- Police services
