Records Division
Overview of Services
The Dubuque Police Records Division is located at 855 Central Avenue, and also functions as the Records Division for the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office. Reports for both agencies can be obtained from this location. Questions about records or fees can be directed to 563.589.4443. Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Available Reports
A $10 administrative fee is charged for each report:
- Incident Reports
- Accident Reports
- Offense Reports
Criminal Background Checks
City of Dubuque / Dubuque County only - no charge
Please provide the following information:
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number (if available)
Note: Criminal Background Checks are available online for all of Iowa's 99 counties at no charge at
Iowa Courts Website.
Civilian Fingerprinting:
- Call 563.589.4443, by appointment Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 noon - 2:30 p.m.
- One to two cards $ 5 (per individual)
- Three or more $ 10 (per individual)
