Records Division
Overview
The Dubuque Police Records Division is located at 855 Central Avenue, and also functions as the Records Division for the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office. Reports for both agencies can be obtained from this location.

Contact
The Records Division can be contacted in person or by phone at 563-589-4443 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Available Reports
A $10 administrative fee is charged for each report:
  • Incident Reports
  • Accident Reports
  • Offense Reports

Criminal Background Checks
The Records Division also handles requests for criminal background checks.  Landlords seeking assistance with mandatory background checks or the tenant database can obtain additional information at the Landlord Services page.

Other persons needing a local criminal background check (Dubuque County only) can obtain one at no charge by clicking here and following the directions on the form.

Criminal background checks are available online for all of Iowa's 99 counties at no charge at Iowa Courts Online.
 
Civilian Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting is available by appointment on Tuesday and Thursday between 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.  Call 563-589-4443 to schedule an appointment.  The cost is $5 per fingerprint card.
