The class is presented as a discussion, facilitated by past graduates. It is a gathering of people with the common goal of wanting to get ahead. In the class, you will investigate your experience of living in daily instability, explore the "hidden rules" and special language needed to get ahead in the workplace, and learn how to build the resources and relationships needed to build a life of stability and prosperity.
When a class completes the curriculum, a formal graduation ceremony is held to celebrate and recognize their achievement. Graduates then have the opportunity to keep working toward their goals through community partnerships.
The class is 15 weeks long, and meets every Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.. All meetings are held at Prescott Elementary School (1151 White Street, Dubuque). New classes begin in March and September.
We are dedicated to supporting our participants. These benefits can help eliminate barriers that might prevent participation, and support long-term success.
