Funding Resources for Neighborhood Groups

The City of Dubuque provides various programs to assist neighborhood groups with funding their neighborhood improvement projects.

Large Neighborhood Grants

The Large Neighborhood Grant program provides grants up to $3,000 for neighborhood improvement projects in low/moderate income neighborhoods.  This program has funded a number of public improvement projects such as neighborhood park improvements, neighborhood newsletters, streetscape improvements, tree planting projects, and out-of-school time programs for neighborhood youth. View the grant program guidelines and complete the application here.

Small Neighborhood Grants

The Small Neighborhood Grants are available year-round. The grants provide up to $750 for improvement programs. View the grant program guidelines and application form.

Community Building Grants

Providing an opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another is a key way to improve relationships in the neighborhood and to create a safer environment. The Community Building Grant Program funds projects in our community’s low/moderate income neighborhoods to provide this opportunity. Projects funded include Music in Jackson Park, ice cream socials, and neighborhood block parties. View the grant program guidelines and application form.
