Additional Sports & Programs

The City of Dubuque Special Populations programs provide sports, recreation, leisure, and outreach services to people with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.  Our goal is for participants to engage in activities that promote socialization, skill development, and physical activity. Examples of activities include:

  • unified sports
  • cupcake decorating
  • brain games
  • bowling
  • dance class
  • arts and crafts
  • Valentine’s dance

Adaptive Sports 

Adaptive sports is a fun, non-competitive environment for children and adults who have a physical disability. However, our program is all-inclusive, and everyone is welcome to participate! Bring along your family and friends. There is no fee for adaptive sports.

September 2021 - Adaptive Baseball

For the month of September, baseball will be our theme as you run the bases around the Miracle League Field!

Dates: Wednesdays, Sept. 15 & Sept. 22
Time: 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Miracle League of Dubuque Baseball Field
Registration: No registration is required. Free to participate!

Future adaptive sports opportunities will include cycling, basketball, tennis, and more!
