Mechanical and Plumbing Code Board

The Mechanical and Plumbing Code Board was repealed by Ordinance No. 46-20 effective December 11, 2020.


The board is comprised of seven (7) residents of the city appointed to three (3)-year terms. Membership includes two (2) at large members and five (5) members who have a minimum of five (5)-years' working experience in the plumbing or mechanical trade and hold a State certification as a mechanical or plumbing contractor, licensed mechanical or hydraulic engineer, or any combination thereof.

  • To determine the suitability of alternative materials and methods of installation.
  • To provide for reasonable interpretations of the mechanical and plumbing code.
  • To advise the City Council on all mechanical and plumbing code regulations and procedures.
  • To serve as an appeal body for the decisions of the building official.
