Artist Statement:  

This piece is a contemporary myth of the universe personified as a being projecting likenesses of himself. The reflections account for the movements of galaxies and repetition in heaven and nature.

Artist bio

Born in 1966, and living in Chicago, John E. Bannon is a multi-media visual artist whose work is seen in public and private collections worldwide.  Education: BFA, 1990, University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign; MFA, 2002, School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
