Supervised Study Hall

For students in grades 1-5 on the A/B school schedule

Looking for a way to make sure your student stays on-track during online learning days? Look no further than the Supervised Study Hall program! This program runs through Oct. 29. The program is $150 or FREE for those that income-qualify. This program is offered at the Comiskey Building, and each daily session is two hours in length. 

To register for the Supervised Study Hall program, call 563.589.4263. Online registration is not available at this time. Pre-registration is required.  

Adapted Sports

Reserve a special hour on the Miracle League baseball field just for you!

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a halt on our leagues, but not on the fun for your family! Email Janna or call 563.589.4315 to reserve a special hour on the baseball field just for you! There is no cost for the reservation. A program supervisor will meet you at the field to provide a tour and sanitize as needed between play. Note, all COVID-19 guidelines will apply during your time on the field. A rules and regulations sheet will be attached to the reservation confirmation email.

Chair Yoga

Oct. 6 - Oct. 29, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-9:15 a.m.
Allison Henderson Building, Upper Level

Come stretch your body in the most relaxed way...from your chair! You’ll get a full-body strength and stretching workout from head to toe in only 45 minutes! This class will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings for four weeks. Chair Yoga is led by certified group fitness instructor Pam Connolly. Cost is $40 for Dubuque residents and $48 for non-residents. The registration number is 7000.417.

Ways to Register

  1. Online Registration
    Online Registration is available 24 hours / day for most Recreation Division classes. We have teamed with the Active Network to provide this service using a valid credit card; convenience fee will be charged.
  2. Mail-in
    You can mail your registration to Leisure Services, 2200 Bunker Hill Rd., Dubuque, IA 52001.
  3. Fax or E-Mail
    To 563.589.4391 or parkrec@cityofdubuque.org, 24 hours / day using Master Card or Visa.
  4. Walk-in Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 2200 Bunker Hill Rd.
  5. After Hours Drop-off
    Place your form and payment in a sealed envelope and drop off in mail slot in the office door

Registration Form

Programs limited to a certain number of participants will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis with Dubuque residents are given preference. You should receive a confirmation receipt within two weeks. 


Payment must be included with any registration to be accepted.  Fees may be paid by credit card or checks payable to Leisure Services Department.  Credit Card payments may only be made online, in person or by phone. 

Financial Assistance

To assist low-income residents, the Leisure Services Department allows individuals or families to register for some Recreation Division programs / classes for free or at a reduced price.Appropriate identification and current benefit card must be available, or an income form will need to be completed.
