Local ARPA-Related Impacts & Resources

Local Impacts

A critical component of the ARPA was the direct relief funding for American cities, counties, and states, including nearly $27 million to the City of Dubuque (approximately $13 million this year and $13 million next year) and almost $18 million to Dubuque County for pandemic relief and infrastructure.  ARPA grant funds have helped Dubuque businesses and organizations address critical needs as they continue to bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic, while also making investments for the future. These funds were specifically directed to provide relief for impacted individuals and households, private businesses, tourism, travel, hospitality, and non-profits; reimbursement for lost revenues to the City; and necessary investments in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure.  View funding spreadsheet highlighting local grant recipients.

People, Planning, and Partnerships

Leveraging funds is a collaborative effort between the City and local community partners. Many partners have come together on several occasions to strategize and learn from one another, analyze opportunities, and take advantage of grants available for our community.
