May 18: 304 New Cases and 4 Deaths in Iowa, 12 More Cases in Dubuque County

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) was notified of 304 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Iowa, including 14 additional cases in Dubuque County.

Iowa now has a total of 14,955 positive cases and Dubuque County has 276.

4 additional deaths were reported for Iowa, bringing the state total to 355. There were no additional deaths reported for Dubuque County so the county total remains 10.

As of May 17, 16 Dubuque County residents were hospitalized due to COVID-19 and 127 have recovered or are recovering. Statewide, 387 Iowans are hospitalized and 7,324 Iowans have recovered.

3,747 Dubuque County residents have been tested, resulting in a 7.4 percent positive rate. Statewide, 103,148 Iowans have been tested for a 14.5 percent positive rate.

Of Iowa’s 99 counties, Dubuque County has the 7th highest number of people tested (3,747), the 14th highest number of positive cases (278), and the 10th highest number of deaths (10).
