May 6: 293 New Cases and 12 Deaths in Iowa, Six More Cases in Dubuque County

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) was notified of 293 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Iowa, including six additional cases in Dubuque County. Iowa now has a total of 10,404 positive cases and Dubuque County has 162.

12 additional deaths were reported today for Iowa, bringing the state total to 219.

As of May 4, 18 Dubuque County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. Statewide, 407 Iowans are hospitalized

29 Dubuque County residents who tested positive are recovering or have recovered. Statewide, 3,803 Iowans are recovering or have recovered.

1,697 Dubuque County residents have been tested to date, with 1,535 of those test results being negative for an 9.5% positive testing rate. 63,171 tests have been conducted statewide and 52,767 were negative for a 16.4% positive testing rate.
