  1. The USS Dubuque Bell

    This July 2015 event dedicated the display of the bell from the Navy ship USS Dubuque. The display, located outside the City Council Chambers in the Historic Federal Building, features a history of the ship, artifacts, and photographs. The show includes recollections from the ship's dedication, a crew member's memories, and clips from the ship's 2011 decommissioning ceremony.

  2. Dubuque Before the Highway

    TODAY (Friday, April 10th) is the last day to register for the 2020 Adult Summer Softball League. All softball teams will play 14-games. All games will be played at the McAleece Park & Recreation Complex and will begin the week of Sunday, April 26th. Softball captain's meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:30 pm at the Prescott Neighborhood Resource Center located at 1151 White Street.

  4. American Red Cross Lifeguarding Class - Session III (April 18th and April 19th)

    The Leisure Services Department is offering American Red Cross Lifeguarding classes. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you'll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED, and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. Successful completion results in a 2-year certification in Lifeguarding. PREREQUISITES: Must be at least 15 years of age and pass certain swimming requirements. Students must be present each day of training, no exceptions. Applications for Summer 2020 Lifeguard positions at Flora and Nicholas J. Sutton Swimming Pools are being accepted NOW!
