Registration Open for Growing Sustainable Communities Conference

The Growing Sustainable Communities Conference is the largest and longest-standing sustainability conference in the Midwest. The 12th annual conference will be held Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24-25, at the Grand River Center in the Port of Dubuque.

Hosted by the City of Dubuque, the Growing Sustainable Communities Conference is the largest and longest-standing sustainability conference in the Midwest.  The 12th annual conference will be held Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24-25, at the Grand River Center in the Port of Dubuque.  Register by Aug. 1 to receive the “early bird” registration rate.

The conference offers innovation, education, inspiration, and collaboration on growing sustainable communities. Sessions will feature presenters with a wide range of expertise, including representatives from federal, state, and local governments, along with business and academic leaders from across the country. In addition to conference sessions, the agenda includes two keynote luncheons, mobile workshops, a breakfast plenary session, and more.    

Additionally, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Renewable Energy Laboratory will conduct a free, pre-conference workshop at the Grand River Center on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 1:00 - 5:30 p.m.  for local governments interested in pursuing on-site solar energy for their municipal operations
