Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 36 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, the same as yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 51 positive cases and 21 recovered cases (seven more recoveries than yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,323 positive cases at long-term care facilities (five more than reported yesterday), 790 recovered (up 13 from yesterday), and 341 deaths (same as reported yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 197 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, six fewer than yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized is two, one fewer than yesterday. Statewide, 14,585 Iowans have recovered (up 210 from yesterday), including 228 Dubuque County residents (nine more than yesterday).
