Dubuque Police Investigate Fatality Accident

DUBUQUE, Iowa – On June 12, 2020, at 3:43 p.m. Dubuque Police & Fire personnel responded to HWY 151/61 and Lake Eleanor Rd. for a motor vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle being operated by Margaret Coble, 78 of Dubuque was crossing the southbound lanes of the highway from Lake Eleanor Rd. and collided with a southbound vehicle being operated by Scott De Young, 58 of Hazel Green, WI.

Coble was pronounced dead at the scene. De Young was transported to MercyOne Dubuque and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
