City Council to Offer Live Audio and Chat Options for Public Input During Regular Meetings

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Dubuque City Council will begin offering live audio and chat options for public input during City Council meetings beginning with the Monday, July 6, 2020 session.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the Dubuque City Council has added these additional options for public input at regular meetings and certain special sessions. The public can now join the meeting through GoToMeeting through a link provided on the first page of the City Council meeting agendas.
Agendas are available at www.cityofdubuque.org/Agendas. Joining the virtual meeting:Log into GoToMeeting using the login links, phone numbers, and access code provided. This option includes audio input and written “chat” input. If you are participating via computer, indicate which item you would like to speak to in the chat function, or note you would like to speak during the public input session. At the appropriate time, you will be unmuted by the meeting moderator. All phone lines will also be unmuted during the public comment period and attendees who would like to speak are asked to self-que so that all who wish may speak.
Additional options to provide public input:The public is also invited to provide input prior to, during, and after the regular portion of meeting. Ways to provide questions or comments include:

- Comment during Facebook live video streams of the meetings on www.facebook.com/cityofdubuque.
- Individuals must include their name and address in order to be recognized.
- Use the chat box in the GoToMeeting (link referenced above).
Additionally, written public input can be accepted prior to or during the meeting by:

www.facebook.com/cityofdubuque.
