CAN YOU HELP?

We want to go camping...and our teens and the MFC need equipment!
Masks will be supplied, temps taken and social distancing will be enforced.

We're gearing up - quite literally - to take 15-20 teens on a 2 night camping trip (includes river time)!

Our fearless leader and Outdoor Afro Iowa-Wisconsin Leader, Jackie Hunter, is the human cool (and brave ?? ) enough to lead the charge with her team of MFC Staff and AmeriCorps Members.

Hey Dana Livingston-We're trying to keep the tradition alive AND we're trying to get equipment for 2020 and beyond.  ??

Camping and outdoor activities need to be a part of our regular programming at the MFC and we need your help to "fill our coffers" and create a sustainable program for our curious, under-resourced teens. For most, if not all of our teens, this will be their first camping experience.

CAMPING GEAR
We can not accept borrowed items (for a variety of reasons) but will gratefully take a donation of new or gently used items...or cash to buy items. Any size donation is needed and appreciated. See list of items below.

SPONSOR A TEEN?
Can you, or maybe you with a group of friends/co-workers, help sponsor a teen? A donation of $150 will cover the equipment needed for 1 teen. This includes: tent, sleeping bag, camp pillow, mess kit, lantern, nature journal, towel and wash cloth.

ALL OF THE FUNDS WILL GO TOWARD EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES (not the camp site, not staffing) but for equipment we will maintain for future use.
