46 New Cases and One Death in Dubuque County, 550 New Cases and 19 Deaths Statewide

POSITIVE CASES

Dubuque County: 46 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 2,859
Iowa: 550 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 81,209

22% of all Dubuque County COVID-19 cases to date are among 19-24 year olds and 39% are among 15-29 year olds. We hope to include more detailed statistics like this in future updates.

DEATHS

Dubuque County: One additional death. Total deaths to date = 41
Iowa: 19 additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 1,285

TESTING & POSITIVITY RATE (As reported by the Iowa Department of Public Health)

Dubuque County:

151 more individuals tested. Total residents tested to date = 28,179
Dubuque County Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 14.9%, average to date = 10.1%.

Iowa:

3,502 more individuals tested. Total Iowa residents tested to date = 747,868
Iowa Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 8.9%, average to date = 10.9%

HOSPITALIZATIONS

Dubuque County: Hospitalized = 18 as of Sept. 20. Down 2 from Sept. 19.
Iowa: Currently hospitalized = 285. (14 more than yesterday.)

RECOVERIES

Dubuque County: New recoveries = 20. Total number of recoveries = 1,906
Iowa: New recoveries = 1,331. Total number of recoveries = 59,179

LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY OUTBREAKS

Dubuque County: One long-term care facility outbreak at Sunnycrest Manor (11 positive cases, 3 recoveries).
Iowa: 41 outbreaks (2 more than yesterday)
