Volunteer at the Dubuque County Watershed Cleanup This Saturday, May 28
The City of Dubuque has joined Dubuque County Conservation and the Dubuque Metropolitan Solid Waste Agency (DMASWA) to host the Dubuque County Watershed Cleanup this Saturday, May 28, from 9 - 11 a.m. This is part of our shared effort to create healthier and safer watersheds.
This volunteer watershed cleanup will focus on public land along the branches of Dubuque County creeks including the Lower Bee Branch Creek! Volunteers are asked to meet at the E. 16th St. Overlook. Parking is available and gloves, bags, and trash grabbers will be provided. If possible, please sign up to volunteer in advance on Eventbrite. Sign up now!
Picking up litter anywhere in Dubuque helps keep our waterways clean, as litter on the ground can wash into storm drains that empty directly into the Catfish and Bee Branch creeks and ultimately the Mississippi River. Learn more about what you can do to protect our watersheds!
