Youth T-Ball, Baseball, & Softball Registration is now open for youth t-ball, baseball, and softball! Programs are run by professional instructors from Dusty Rogers Baseball/Softball Academy and focus on the fundamentals of the game such as throwing, catching, fielding, base running, and hitting. T-Ball and beginner programs begin the week of June 27.
Girls Softball Camp is June 13 - 16 and Boys Baseball Camp is June 20 - 23. These are four-day camps are for ages 9 - 14. Each day will cover a different aspect of the game and will keep the kids active and having fun! Learn more or register at www.cityofdubuque.org/letsgo.
Youth Tennis Traditional morning lessons for ages 5 - 14 are held at Flora Park. We offer various levels of instruction to teach the fast paced game of tennis! Summer evening lessons are available at Murphy Park for ages 7 - 15. Evening lessons are for beginners only and class size is limited. Learn more or register at www.cityofdubuque.org/letsgo.Sports Camps at Asbury ParkThese two-week sports camps are for ages 6 - 12 and include basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Camps will focus on learning basic skills and rules of the game with a strong emphasis on having fun, teamwork, and good sportsmanship! Camps are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Basketball is June 14 - 23, volleyball is June 28 - July 7, and Tennis is July 12 - 21.

Youth Programs & Day CampsWe have a great lineup of summer programs and day camps to keep your kids active and having fun this summer! Offerings range for kids ages 2 - 12 and include a variety of activities from cooking and crafts to mini golf and treasure hunts! Upcoming programs include:
Chefs in Training for ages 2 - 3 Includes recipes, age-appropriate culinary skills, basic nutrition, and movement. Preschoolers will love eating their own creations!
Sweet Science for ages 5 - 7 & 8 - 12 Learn the chemical process behind making ice cream and rock candy and make your own sweet treat to take home!
Jr. Chefs for ages 5 - 7 Develop a love for cooking! This class combines creativity with culinary techniques for exciting results!
Camp Concoctions for ages 5 - 8 This two-day camp will offer a mix of all your favorites. We will hit the park/ playground, create food creations, play games and so much more!
Home Alone Workshop for ages 9 - 12 Confident enough to stay home alone? Learn about home safety, including how to answer the phone, when to call 9-1-1 and how to make simple meals without using the stove and/or oven.
Super Snackers for ages 8 - 12 Learn to make easy, tasty treats you can make without your parents' supervision. Go home with a recipe book and leftovers! Yum!

Flora Pool and Free Flora ShuttleRegular pool hours begin Saturday, June 11. The schedule is:
Monday - Friday Adult Swim: 7 - 8:30 a.m. Adult Swim: 12 - 1 p.m. Preschool Playgroup: 12 - 1 p.m. Open Swim: 1 - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday / Sunday Open Swim: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Open Swim: 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Daily admission is $2 for youth (age 4-17), $4 for adults (age 18-61), and $2 for seniors (age 62 an older). Children age 3 and under are free.
Twenty-visit punch cards for all ages can be purchased for $40 at the pool during regular operating hours. Punch cards may be purchased with Leisure Services Department scholarship funds and are half-priced for income-qualified residents. Adult swim and water walking passes are available for $50 for Dubuque residents and $60 for non-residents.

Free Flora Shuttle The Jule is offering a free Flora Shuttle route seven days per week. The shuttle operates daily from approximately 8:15 a.m. to 6:40 p.m. with stops at Flora Pool or Irving Elementary (across Pennsylvania Ave. from Flora Park) approximately twice every hour. Our free Playground Explorations program starts next Monday, June 13. This is a drop-in program Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. for kids ages 6 - 14. No registration required. Free breakfast and lunch are provided. Program locations include:

- Comiskey Park, 255 E. 24th St.
- Flora Park, 2605 Pennsylvania Ave.
- Jackson Park, 1500 Main St.
- Jefferson Park, 665 University Ave. (Afternoons Only, 1 - 5 p.m.)
- Murphy Park, 1700 S. Grandview Ave.
- Orange Park, 1801 Washington St. (Mornings Only, 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
Trained leaders will plan, organize, and direct Playground Explorations in science, technology, engineering, art, music, math, reading and writing! Rec-n-Roll TrailerThe Leisure Services Rec-n-Roll Trailer will be traveling to various parks and events throughout the community this summer! This fun mobile features all sorts of yard games and kids activities including Imagination Playground Big Blue Blocks, cornhole. and frisbee!
