Dubuque Fatal Fire, Victim Identified

DUBUQUE, Iowa – On 02/08/23 at approximately 0823 hours, Dubuque Police and Fire responded to a fire within a garage to the rear of 1428 Iowa Street. One person was found deceased within this structure.  This person has been identified as 46-year-old Daniel Charles Montelius of Dubuque.  The Dubuque Fire Department is being assisted by the Iowa State Fire Marshal's Office with this investigation.
