City Solid Waste Setouts not Collected Thursday to be Collected Friday

The City of Dubuque is reminding residents that live on Thursday solid waste collection routes that, if their trash and recycling setouts were not collected today (Thursday, Feb. 9) due to the weather, their set outs will instead be collected tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 10). 

Residents on Friday collection routes will have their setouts collected on Friday but may see delays in collection times.

To help collection crews, residents can follow the below setout tips:

• For best visibility and access to collection crews, place containers, bags, bins, and bundles at the corner of your driveway OR in a shoveled-out street-side windrow notch, but NOT on the sidewalk or behind a snow pile or windrow.
• Please remove empty containers from windrows and sidewalks as soon as possible to aid walkers and snow plow crews.
• Use dark-colored garbage bags, not white ones, so collection crews can see your trash has been set out.
