City Hall and Other City Offices Temporarily Closed to Walk-In Traffic Wednesday and Thursday

City Hall and other City facilities will be temporarily closed to walk-in traffic on Wednesday Feb. 22, and Thursday, Feb. 23, due to inclement weather. Residents can still contact staff and conduct business with City departments by phone, email, and online at www.cityofdubuque.org during this time.
Offices located in the Ruby Sutton Building (Leisure Services Department, Office of Equity and Human Rights, and the Multicultural Family Center) and the Historic Federal Building (Housing and Community Development Department, including Inspection and Construction Services) will also be temporarily closed to walk-in traffic with limited services available on Wednesday and Thursday.
Utility bill payment options during this closure include:
- Online at www.cityofdubuque.org/payment.
- By phone 24/7 by calling 563-589-4144 and then selecting option #1.
- At the drop box outside City Hall at the 13th Street entrance (please do not put cash in the drop box, checks or money order payments only).
- Checks or money order payments can be mailed to: Utility Billing, City Hall, 50 W. 13th St., Dubuque, IA 52001.
- Automatic payments scheduled at www.cityofdubuque.org/utilitybilling.
The City is opening all City-owned parking ramps for free parking. Residents who would like to remove their vehicles from the streets to assist with snow/ice control are encouraged to consider this opportunity. Vehicles must be removed by 7 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 27), to avoid parking fees.
