Sutton Pool Closed Today (Friday) for Maintenance

Sutton Pool will be closed all day today to allow staff to conduct maintenance to address the issue causing cloudy water. Flora Pool is expected to operate normal preseason hours today and Sutton Pool is expected to re-open tomorrow.
The issue creating cloudy water at both pools, and many painted pools around the state, is tiny paint particles too small to be caught on the pools' filtration system. (Although the issue has created visibility concerns, the water itself is safe.) A new, non-toxic treatment has been identified to address the issue and staff need today to conduct this treatment at Sutton. Flora will be treated overnight. This treatment is expected to resolve the issue. Staff believe the issue has been more significant at Sutton Pool than Flora because Sutton has not had water in it for two years.
Safety is the City's top priority in operating its pools and the City appreciates the public's patience as this issue is addressed.
