Next Traffic Shift on Northwest Arterial Begins Tuesday, June 6
Progress continues on the Northwest Arterial State of Good Repair Project as reconstruction of the northbound lanes from the US 20/Dodge St. to Pennsylvania Ave. moves into its next phase.
On Tuesday morning, June 6, Northwest Arterial traffic from US 20/Dodge St. to Pennsylvania Ave. will no longer be shifted to head-to-head traffic in the southbound lane. However, both northbound and southbound traffic will remain reduced to one lane in each direction as work continues at the Chavenelle Rd. intersection.
Access at the Chavenelle Rd. intersection will continue to be maintained with temporary traffic signals. A detailed map of this configuration is available below and at https://www.cityofdubuque.org/DocumentCenter/View/54647/Chavenelle-Phase-B---June-2023
In addition, the Associates Dr. right-in, right-out access just north of the Catfish Creek bridge will re-open.
Motorists will need to use caution in the area. Updates will be provided as the project progresses and adjustments are made to the Chavenelle Rd. intersection.
If you have questions regarding the closure/detour, please contact the City of Dubuque Engineering Department at 563.589.4270. Please Note: Closure dates/times are estimates and are subject to change without notification based on weather and contractor schedules.
