INCIDENT TYPE:  Partial Building Collapse
ADDRESS/LOCATION:  3315 JFK Rd.

Sample Copy - The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 12:46 PM with reports of a person injured at a construction site. The Dubuque Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 12:50 PM.  Initial responding vehicles included Command 528, Engine 502, and Medic 552.

The first unit, Engine 502, arrived on scene to find a partial building collapse with multiple people injured. 2 critical patents were identified and Engine 503 as well as Medic 554 was requested.  Command 528 arrived, established command, conducted a size up, and verified with Engine 502 that all personal were out of the collapse zone and accounted for.  While treating the 2 critical patients 2 additional patents are identified with minor injuries and Medic 553 is requested to the scene.  4 patients were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The Dubuque Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Dubuque Police Department and City of Dubuque Building Services.  The Dubuque Fire Department was also assisted within the city by the Key West and Asbury Fire Departments during this incident. There were no injuries to responders reported.
