The Jule Extends Service to Mount Carmel Bluffs

The Jule, the City of Dubuque’s public transportation system, will extend fixed-route bus service to a new senior living community. 

Beginning on Monday, Oct. 23, The Jule’s Orange Line will extend weekday service to Mount Carmel Bluffs, a new senior living community located at the southern end of South Grandview Ave. 

“The opening of Mount Carmel Bluffs offers a great opportunity for us to push our service area farther along South Grandview Avenue,” says Jodi Johnson, transit operation supervisor for the City of Dubuque. “The residents there are very active and have a desire to move around Dubuque for various reasons. This route extension will also better serve residents who live along South Grandview Avenue and utilize the recreational activities in that area.” 

The route extension will include the addition of five new bus stops at: 

• South Grandview Ave. south of Dodge St. 
• South Grandview Ave. north of Bryant St. 
• South Grandview Ave. at Southern Ave. 
• South Grandview Ave. at Murphy Park 
• Mount Carmel Bluffs 

Jule buses will stop at Mount Carmel Bluffs at approximately 45 minutes past the hour every hour from 8:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
