Applications for Next Session of City Life Open March 4
FEB. 26, 2024
The City of Dubuque is set to begin welcoming applications from residents for the next session of City Life, Dubuque’s fun, free, and interactive experience of local government. Applications will be available beginning Monday, March 4.
City Life participants have the opportunity to learn more about City operations and services which make Dubuque a great place to live, work, and play. Through presentations, behind-the-scenes tours, and conversations with neighbors, residents see taxpayer investments at work and are able to share their thoughts and input. Applications are due by Friday, March 29.
The City Life program consists of six in-person sessions on Thursday evenings this spring (April 11, 18, and 25, and May 2, 9, and 16) from 6-9 p.m. Dinner is provided and certain accommodations can be made. The program will be offered again in the fall for those interested but unable to attend.
“We tailor City Life so that anyone and everyone will come away from it with new knowledge that will hopefully make them a more engaged resident,” says Community Engagement Coordinator Temwa Phiri, who leads the City Life sessions. “Whether you’re a lifelong Dubuquer or just moved to the city, we’re confident you’ll learn something new about your home city.”
