Housing Choice Voucher Program Applications to Be Accepted In Person Only on Tuesday, May 14

The City of Dubuque Housing and Community Development Department will open the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program on Tuesday, May 14, from 7:00 a.m. CST until 6:00 p.m. CST. 

PLEASE NOTE: Applications submitted during the May application period will only be accepted in person at the Multicultural Family Center, 1157 Central Avenue. Applications submitted online, by mail, or placed in the after-hours drop box at the Housing & Community Development Department will not be accepted in May. 

To apply for the waiting list, applicants will need: names (as they appear on social security cards), social security numbers, and dates of birth for all household members. Identity verification may be requested at time of application. Only one application is permitted per household.

For persons with disabilities seeking a reasonable accommodation, please call the Housing and Community Development office at 563.589.4230 on May 14 and an application will be provided by mail. Proof of disability will be required.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance for income-eligible households. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sets income limits that determine eligibility for assisted housing programs, including the Housing Choice Voucher program.
