Sutton Pool Closed Remainder of Wednesday, June 12

Due to visibility concerns created by cloudy water, Sutton Pool will be closed the remainder of today and this evening, June 12. Evening swim lessons have been cancelled. Make-up lessons will be held on Friday, June 21. Safety is the City's top priority in operating its pools and we must close the pool when visibility issues prevent staff from safely monitoring the water.

The issue causing cloudy water is not harmful. It is caused by tiny paint particles too small to be caught on the pools' filtration system. (Although the issue has created visibility concerns, the water itself is safe.) A non-toxic treatment will be used to address the issue this evening so the pool is expected to be open tomorrow, Thursday, June 13.
