Fatal Car Accident on Peru Road

DUBUQUE, Iowa – On September 4th, 2024 at approximately 11:13pm, Dubuque Police officers responded to the 800 block of Peru Rd. for a single-car motor vehicle accident. The investigation determined a Toyota Highlander had left the roadway and crashed into a garage at 804 Peru Rd.  The driver, identified as Timothy Morris DOB: 03/22/83 of Dubuque, was located inside the vehicle and found to have an obvious head injury. Dubuque Police and Dubuque Fire personnel rendered lifesaving efforts and Morris was transported to Mercy One Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  Morris was sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.  This accident remains under investigation.
