Winter Arts Snow Sculpting Festival to Feature New Teen Division
New this year, the Winter Arts Snow Sculpting Festival will include a division for teens ages 12 - 17. Teen creatives of all skill levels from across Iowa and the Greater Dubuque region are encouraged to submit proposals. Teams are encouraged, but not required, to design snow sculptures inspired by what COMMUNITY means to them. The teen division is non-competitive.
- Teams of 2-4 teens between the ages of 12 - 17.
- No fee to apply.
- All teams must include an adult chaperone or supervisor.
- Tools and warming areas will be provided for teen sculptors.
- Sculptures for the teen teams will be carved from blocks of snow measuring 3 ft. wide/deep x 4 ft. tall or 2 ft. wide/deep x 3 ft. tall, whichever the team prefers.
- Proposals must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3.
The City of Dubuque Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Dubuque Museum of Art, will host the 8th annual Winter Arts Snow Sculpting Festival in Dubuque’s downtown Washington Park, Feb. 6-9, 2025.
