City of Dubuque Offices Closed, Services Adjusted for Memorial Day

City of Dubuque offices will be closed on Monday, May 26, for the Memorial Day holiday. This includes City Hall and other City offices and facilities.

There will be no curbside collections (trash, recycling, yard waste, or food scraps) by City crews on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26). These collections will instead be made on Saturday, May 24. Carts and bins to be collected must be set out by 6 a.m. This change only applies to residents whose regular collection day is Monday. The Dubuque Metro Area Solid Waste Agency facilities will also be closed on Memorial Day.

The Jule, Dubuque’s public transit system, will not operate on Memorial Day. Parking meter expiration violations will not be enforced on Memorial Day.

The Carnegie-Stout Public Library will be closed on Sunday, May 25, and Monday, May 26.

For non-emergency issues during City office closures, please call 563-589-4415. In the case of an emergency, always call 911.
