Fall is here, and so are exciting new Parks & Recreation programs for kids of all ages! From hands-on art and creative play for little ones to esports clubs and dinosaur adventures for older kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this season!

Parent/Caregiver & Child Programs

Kick-Off to the School Year

Ages: 2 – 4 yrs.
Monday, Sept. 8  |  10 – 11 a.m.  |  Allison-Henderson Upper Level

Start the school year with a splash of fun—Parks & Rec style! Kids will enjoy playful activities that help them ease into learning, practice a little school-readiness, and make new friends along the way. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the new season with laughter, games, and smiles. This is a parent/caregiver and child class. Register now!

Playdough Creations

Ages: 2 – 4 yrs.

Squish it, roll it, flatten it—playdough never gets old! In this hands-on class, kids will turn colorful dough into robots, ladybugs, snowmen, snails, and more. A little imagination goes a long way when playdough is involved! This is a parent/caregiver and child class. Register now! 


Sensory Art and Activities

Ages: 18 mo. – 4 yrs.

Dive into a world of touch, sound, and color! This parent-and-child class features fun sensory stations, interactive art projects, and plenty of opportunities to explore together. Youth Drop-Off Programs

Ceramics for Beginners - 2 Sessions Available!

Ages: 6 – 12 yrs.
Session 1: Tuesday, Sept. 9 & 23  |  5:30 – 7 p.m. |  Allison-Henderson Lower Level
Session 2: Monday, Nov. 3 & 17  |  5:30 – 7 p.m. |  Allison-Henderson Lower Level
$35/Resident, $42/Non-Resident
Instructor: Addy Schober

Learn the basic skills and techniques of ceramics. No experience needed. Participants will end with a finished, glazed product to take home. There is a week break between classes to allow the pieces to dry before glazing. Parents will be notified when the finished pieces are ready for pickup. All materials will be provided. This is a drop-off class. Register now!


Jurassic Park

Age: 6 – 8 yrs.
Thursday, Sept. 25  |  5:30 – 6:30 p.m. | Allison-Henderson Upper Level
 $12/Resident, $15/Non-Resident

Step back in time and explore the prehistoric world! Kids will dig into dino-themed games, create their own fossil projects, and learn all about these fascinating giants of the past. It’s a roaring good time for your little paleontologist! This is a parent drop-off class. Register now!


School Day Off Camp

Age: 3 – 7 yrs.
Friday, Oct. 10  |  9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  |  Allison-Henderson Upper Level
$30/Resident, $36 Non-Resident

School’s out but the fun is in session! This camp keeps kids busy with arts and crafts, exciting games, and plenty of playtime with friends—all in a safe, welcoming environment. A perfect way to make their day off extra special. Please bring a lunch. Snacks will be provided. This is a parent drop-off class. Register now!

DBQ Esports League

DBQ Esports League (DEL) is a nonprofit gaming facility that provides a safe space for youth to connect in-person and online. DEL promotes social and emotional well-being, career exploration, and STEM engagement through esports. 

All programs are held at DEL, located at 3220 Dodge St, Suite 109.

4th & 5th Grade Esports Club

Saturday Mornings

Ages: 4th & 5th graders 
Saturday, Sept. 13 - Dec. 13  |  10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
$125/Resident, $150/Non-Resident

4th & 5th graders play interactive online games together including Minecraft, Roblox, Farming Simulator, Rocket League, Fortnite, Mario Kart, Super Smash, and Madden. Each club participant will receive a DEL Esport Club Sweatshirt. This is a drop-off class. Register now!


Middle School Esports Club

Monday Nights

Ages: Middle schoolers
Monday, Sept. 8 - Dec. 15  |  6 - 8 p.m.
$125/Resident, $150/Non-Resident

Middle school students play interactive online games together including Minecraft, Roblox, Farming Simulator, Rocket League, Fortnite, Rainbow 6 Siege, Overwatch, Valorant, Mario Kart, Super Smash, and Madden. Middle School Competitive Fortnite League

Thursday Nights

Ages: Middle schoolers
Thursday, Sept. 10 - Dec. 17  |  6:15 - 8:15 p.m.
$125/Resident, $150/Non-Resident

Competitors will play a unique season with 2v2 team matches and coaching. Each competitor will be paired with a Fortnite team partner. The season will conclude with a half-day tournament. Register now!
