Hawthorne St. Railroad Crossing Closure between Rhomberg Ave. and Garfield Ave.

Due to the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train, Hawthorne St. at the railroad crossing between Rhomberg Ave. and Garfield Ave. will be closed starting around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24. 

This event will require multiple street closures and adjustments to normal traffic and parking in the area of the Hawthorne St. rail crossing:

• Hawthorne St. will be closed between Lincoln Ave. and Rhomberg Ave., and between Rhomberg Ave. and Kerper Blvd. The closures will be in place beginning at approximately 6 p.m.
• Two-way traffic will be maintained on Lincoln Ave., Rhomberg Ave., and Kerper Blvd.
• There will be no parking on either side of Hawthorne St. between Rhomberg Ave. and Kerper Blvd. beginning at 5 p.m. until approximately 11 p.m.
• Parking on the east side of Rhomberg Ave. between Hawthorne St. and Lincoln Ave. will be prohibited beginning at 5 p.m. until approximately 11 p.m.

Motorists will need to follow the posted detour and/or use a different route during this time. View a map of current closures/detours.
