City of Dubuque Purchase of Service Grants Available

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The City of Dubuque is accepting applications for its annual Purchase of Service Grant Program to support local human service programs.  Online applications are being accepted at The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, July 12.  

The purchase of service grant program provides support for human service programs in the city of Dubuque which further the City’s goals, objectives, and priorities. Not for-profit and faith-based organizations located in the city of Dubuque providing year-round human services programs are eligible to apply.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of two application workshops to develop competitive applications.  Workshop dates are Monday, June 24, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 27, from 5:00-6:30 p.m.  Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Workshop registration, grant guidelines, and grant applications can be obtained on the City of Dubuque website at  Completed applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019.

The funding for this grant program is determined by the City Council during the annual budget process. The City’s adopted Fiscal Year 2019-20 combined budget allocates $100,000 in general funds and $20,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the program.
