Youth Support Group

The Multicultural Family Center LGBTQ+ Youth Group is for teens who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, or any other identity under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. The goal of the group is to create a place for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and free be themselves without concern about being treated differently because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression. They will find support from caring mentors, and from peers who are having similar experiences. This regular gathering will allow local LGBTQ+ youth to build community, increase self-awareness and a positive self-regard, and develop stronger connections to the community. Monthly activities vary between guest speakers, games, LGBTQ+ culture, community outreach and more. The group is co-facilitated by volunteer adult mentors.

Adult Support Group

For adults 18+
Registration is not required. Cost: FREE
This group provides social support for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, or any other identity under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. The MFC is a place where you are free to be yourself without concern about being treated differently because of your sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression. In the LGBTQ+ Adult Group, you will find support from peers who are having similar experiences.
