The Dubuque Community Support and Empowerment Grant provides two or more eligible individuals or non-profit organizations/businesses, clubs, organizations, or groups of passionate residents with up to $5,000 each to support programs, activities, or services that build a Dubuque community where everyone feels a sense of belonging, support, and empowerment. Proposals must include an education and/or engagement component and align to with at least one of the City of Dubuque’s Five-Year Goals:
- Healthy and Safe Community
- Financially Responsible, High-Performance City Organization
- Robust Local Economy
- Livable Neighborhoods and Housing

- Connected Community
- Diverse Arts, Culture, Parks, and Recreation Experiences and Activities

The application period for the 2026 Community Support and Empowerment Grants is now open. The application deadline is January 31, 2026. Recipients will be selected and notified in mid-February.
