Sustainable Dubuque Seeks Community Input at Visioning Workshop
DUBUQUE, Iowa – Sustainability has been a top priority in Dubuque since 2006 and continues to thrive through the ongoing efforts of the Dubuque community. To discuss the future of sustainability projects in Dubuque, Sustainable Dubuque is hosting a visioning workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 26, for community leaders, residents, and businesses.
The goal of the workshop is to discuss how to engage and involve the community in implementing projects that help achieve the Sustainable Dubuque vision in the next five years. Participants will discuss what they see as the top priorities for the community and what they can contribute to sustainability efforts.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the Prescott School Community Room, 1151 White Street, in Dubuque. Please RSVP by noon on Monday, Sept. 24, by calling 563-589-4110 or e-mailing svalenti@cityofdubuque.org.
The Sustainable Dubuque initiative seeks to make Dubuque a community that meets the environmental, economic, and social equity needs of its residents today without reducing the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainable Dubuque is a holistic, three-part approach that addresses economic prosperity, environmental and ecological integrity, and social and cultural vibrancy.
