Applicants Sought for City Boards and Commissions
DUBUQUE, Iowa – The City of Dubuque’s volunteer board and commission members provide a valuable link to the community and to the various interests within it. They assist in the development of policy recommendations to the City Council, provide leadership and support to City staff, promote the City and its programs, and provide expertise in specialized areas.
Volunteers are needed for current and upcoming vacancies on the following boards and commissions:
Airport Zoning Board of Adjustment
Airport Zoning Commission
Building Code Board of Appeals (At-Large and ADA Reps)
Civic Center Commission
Community Development Advisory Commission (Low/Moderate Income Area Rep)
Environmental Stewardship Advisory Commission (Youth Rep)
Housing Code Appeals Board
Human Rights Commission
Investment Oversight Advisory Commission
Plumbing Board (At-Large, Master Plumber, and Bachelor Science Phys. Science Reps)
Sister City Relationships Advisory Commission
Applications can be printed or submitted on-line from www.cityofdubuque.org/boards or through the City Clerk’s Office. Applications can be submitted at any time for all boards and commissions and are activated as positions become available. Applications remain on file for one year from the date they are submitted.
