Ride The Jule for Holiday Shopping Season!
DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Jule, Dubuque’s public transit division, invites you to ride the bus this holiday shopping season!
The Jule will operate its Shopping Circulator route from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m on Friday, Nov. 23. Nightrider service will start at 6 p.m. and continue until 2:30 a.m. The Jule’s Shopping Circulator route, which runs year-round, provides service to Dubuque’s west side business and residential areas. The Shopping Circulator route is divided into two sections, each with stops at popular shopping locations in Dubuque’s west side. The “northern” section of the Shopping Circulator is a 25-minute loop, and provides fixed-route service to locations including Sam’s Club, the Asbury Plaza area, and the Goodwill Store. The “southern” section is a 35-minute loop, and provides service to locations including Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, the Warren Plaza area, and the Kennedy Mall.
Passengers can transfer between the Shopping Circulator route and The Jule’s Red, Green, and Grey Lines at the JFK Circle transfer location. Any passengers who would like to be picked up or dropped off at an on-demand location must call dispatch at 563-589-4196 at least 30 minutes in advance. The bus will only deviate from the regular route if a passenger needs an on-demand location and has notified dispatch in advance. “TripMaker” requests can be submitted online for those needing assistance with trip planning. The Jule staff will respond within one business day and provide fixed-route service information specific to the request.
