Central Avenue at 15th Street Traffic Signal Modification

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Due to observed misinterpretation of the flashing yellow traffic signal by motorists, the southbound Central Avenue flashing yellow signals at 15th Street will be deactivated today, Thursday, March 7. Flashing red signals for 15th Street will remain until March 19.

BACKGROUND: The traffic signals at the Central Avenue and 15th Street intersection will be deactivated on March 19. On Tuesday, March 5, the traffic signals transitioned to a flashing mode, with Central Avenue having a flashing yellow signal (proceed with caution) and 15th Street having a flashing red signal (stop and yield to cross traffic).
