The City of Dubuque Iowa, Transportation Services Department invites qualified bidders to submit prices for snow removal including plowing, shoveling, hauling and related services.  Bidding is based on snowfall amount categories as determined at the Jule Operations and Training Center and weighted by estimated number of snowfalls within each category provided on the Bid Proposal Form.

Each Bidder must visit the project site(s) of the proposed work to fully acquaint itself with the existing conditions relating to the project and must inform itself as to the facilities involved, the difficulties and the restrictions related to the performance of the Contract.  Each Bidder must thoroughly examine and familiarize itself with the specifications and all other Contract Documents.  Contractor by the execution of the Contract shall in no way be relieved of any obligation under the contract due to Contractor’s failure to receive or examine any contract document or to visit the site and acquaint itself with the conditions there existing.  City will be justified in rejecting any claim based on facts regarding which Contractor should have been aware of as a result of its inspection.
