[ARCHIVED] Fall Swimming Lessons - Hempstead High School Pool

The Leisure Services Department is offering swim lessons for ages six and older on Sunday afternoons beginning on September 18th at 2:10, 2:50 and 3:30 p.m. We are also offering Aquatots classes, too! See below for more information.


The following swim skill levels are offered: Beginner I, Beginner II, Advanced beginner I, Advanced beginner II, Intermediate and Swimmer. Classes meet for eight, thirty-five minute lessons.

We are also offering an Aquatots class for children ages 1 to 3 years old. This is a class for both parents and children to share their water experience! Children will be encouraged to explore, experience and enjoy the water; parents will learn how to teach their child basic swimming skills while promoting a safe water environment. Classes will be held at Hempstead Pool on Sundays from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m., beginning on September 18th through November 6th.
