[ARCHIVED] Bald Eagle Watch - January 21, 2012

The annual Bald Eagle Watch will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Grand River Center from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This FREE family event celebrates the American Bald Eagle with live bird programs and children's activities. Vendors will have wildlife art, books, nature items and food available for purchase. Exhibitors will share information about opportunities to experience nature in the tri-state area.

Free trolley rides, complimentary of the Jule, will circulate every 30 minutes from the Grand River Center to the Lock & Dam #11 for live eagle viewing, to the Multicultural Family Center, to the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium and back to the Grand River Center.

World Bird Sanctuary (live eagle) will be from 9:30-10:15 am, 12:15-1 pm and 3:00-3:45 pm. A Tail of Two Cats (live bobcat and lynx) will be from 11:00-11:45 am and 1:45-2:30 pm.

Don't forget to stop by the 5th Annual Dubuque Sports & Recreation Festival to learn about and register for sports and recreation activities. We have fun for the whole family including stage performances, inflatables, a rock climbing wall and more!
